British Made

At Alstons we adopt an uncompromising attitude to quality, believing strongly in the importance of British design and manufacturing. Every piece of furniture is crafted in our Colchester factory by skilled workers using the finest raw materials possible.

Employing traditional methods, our craftsmen individually hand-build each frame using timber from renewable sources. The frame is carefully constructed, using hardwood in all load bearing areas with all joints screwed and glued together for maximum strength. We use copper washed seat springs for greater durability ensuring our furniture will stand the test of time. We pay special attention to comfort using cold cure moulded foam seat cushion fillings which we will guarantee for 10 years.

We work closely with our suppliers ensuring we buy the latest selection of materials, components and fabrics from the finest mills around the world – giving you a choice of luxurious velvets, opulent high quality weaves and chenille's, all of which are subjected to rigorous testing, to ensure they remain at their best for many years. 

Our continuous investment in technology ensures the factory utilises state of the art machinery such as the latest automated cutting systems that will cut our fabrics quickly and efficiently, making sure we can withstand the increase in demand for Alstons products over the years.
